Recipe 3:
Fresh Strawberries
In an orange and red wine syrup
Method
Place Gourmet Classic Red Cooking Wine, caster sugar and orange juice into a suitable saucepan and put onto heat. Bring to the boli.
Simmer gently until the liquid starts to become like syrup. Approx 10 mins.
Remove from the heat and add the clove and cinnamon stick, allow infusing whilst cooling.
When cold remove the clove and cinnamon stick.
Prepare the strawberries, cut into quarters and place into a serving bowl.
Pour the syrup over the strawberries before serving, dust with icing sugar and decorate with mint leaves.
Serve Brandy Cream Separately. Mix brandy, a little icing sugar and double cream together carefully in a bowl, do not over mix.
